Mayor Thank You

In 2006, the Muslim Students Association [MSA] successfully presented the Inaugural Discover Islam Exhibition in partnership with The City of Cape Town.  Itheko Events Management managed this ground breaking exhibition and will continue to do so in December 2008.

Last year, the event was held from the 25^th August until the 27^th August 2006 on the Waterfront at Market Square.  Approximately 50 000 people visited the exhibition, which was housed in a 25m x 30m marquee. The City of Cape Town through Mayor Helen Zille  created a lot of awareness and interest.

At a handing over ceremony, Yusuf Mohamed of MSA,  Farouk Meyer and Fatima Allie of Itheko Evens Management handed over a gift to Mayor Helen Zille for the  City of Cape Town’s contribution to the success of the event.  The City of Cape Town will once again be in partnership with Discover Islam 2008, which will be taking place from 4 - 7 December 2008 in Hall 2 at the CTICC.
